Vlab Activity
Through the IIT Bombay Virtual Lab platform, students engaged in experiments to explore the working principles of key sensors—RTD, Thermocouple, LVDT, and Strain Gauge. These hands-on activities focused on understanding static and dynamic characteristics, while analyzing the effects of parameters like temperature, supply frequency, and voltage on sensor performance. The studies also examined the impact of protective elements, such as thermowells, on performance. This interactive learning approach provided students with practical insights into optimizing sensor functionality for various engineering applications.
