It was in the year 2001 when under the capable leadership of Prof. Dr. T.J. Sawant began its journey. The mission was set in a role with the establishment of Rajarshi Shahu College of Engineering at Tathawade. Steadily we grew in stature makes its presence felt like one the leading engineering colleges of Pune, Maharashtra. We have made a name in providing quality education to more than 50,000 students and gives employment to more than 10,000 staffs. The college acquired SBERCT’s Bhagwant Institute of Technology, Barshi, and TSSM’s Padmabhooshan Vasantdada Patil Institute of Technology, Bavdhan and came into the notice of India’s educational community. We believe that higher education should be available to all those who have the zeal and passion for it. Hence, with an objective in mind, the foundation stone of JSPM was laid. Education brings awareness and thereby we have the ambition to be instrumental in bringing about a positive social change and contribute to the nation-building process. Students of our college are brought up in a friendly learning environment where they are encouraged to think critically.

Providing education tops the priority list of JSPM as mentioned in its charter, which states that “Impart high-quality education which meets the diverse needs of our students and the evolving professional requirements”. Complementing the achievement of this goal we do the needful to adhere to international standards with special emphasis on research works and a productive learning environment.

JSPM was established back in 1998, with supreme objective of creating centers of academic excellence in the field of Pharmacy, Engineering, Management, Medical, and Computer Science. This objective was visualized by Prof. T.J Sawant an Electrical Engineer who believes in the development of Techno Entrepreneurial society as the foreword of achieving VISION 2020 as laid down by former president of India Dr. Abdul Kalam. Prof. Dr. Sawant has the firm conviction that by establishing technical institutions of excellence we can find a comprehensive solution to the problem of developing techno-economic society. Perpetuated by the mission to provide quality education we have put the best foot forward to set up educational institutes in Pune.

As an elite institute that offers quality education in various disciplines of engineering, management, pharmacy we care for the well-being of our students and has set up the best hostel facility for girls where they will be safe and pursue their education. The hostel takes due care of all its boarders and ensures that they have a comfortable and safe stay. Every student is provided with sufficient amenities of dining and lodging. In addition, the hostel premises are WIFI enabled and students can maintain good connectivity with the outside world.

Our premises have the infrastructure that lets the student pursue sports of their choice. The sports ground houses facilities for different outdoor games like Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Lawn Tennis Court, Basket Ball Court, and Gym for Girls and Boys. Utmost care is taken in maintaining the entire ground in top condition. Moreover, we also offer indoor game facilities like Table Tennis, Carom, and Badminton.
